Join in the celebration of the welcoming of Acadians to St. Martinville on March 21st for its 250th anniversary at the 11th annual Acadian Memorial Heritage Festival and Wooden Boat Congres.

There will be food, music, arts and crafts, theater, demonstrations, children's activities and workshops from 9am to 4pm in Evangeline Oak Park on Bayou Teche in downtown St. Martinville.

The event is free and open to the public and there will be live music.

Enjoy traditional cajun food and crafts, while watching demonstrations of how they are cooked and crafted from local chefs and artisans. Gumbo, fried fish, jambalaya and cracklin demonstrations will be available.

At 2pm, Suzi Lemoine will recount a tale of a Journey of an Acadian mouse and afterwards lead a Children's Scavenger Hunt.
