ESPN Reports Manziel Now Being Investigated by the NCAA
Ever since winning the Heisman Trophy back in December, Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has been under intense scrutiny.
While most of that scrutiny has concerned places Manziel has been spotted, tweets and other incidents, including being dismissed from the Manning passing camp, nothing has surface that would indicate great wrongdoing.
But now comes a report by ESPN's Outside the LInes, that Manziel is being investigated by the NCAA. According to sources, Manziel received a five-figure fee in exchange for signing autographs and memorabilia while in Miami during the Alabama-Notre Dame championship game.
If NCAA findings show the sources are correct, Manziel would be ineligible to play college football.
No one from Manziel's camp, Texas A&M or autograph broker Drew Tieman, named in the report as the man who approached Manziel, would comment on the matter.
