ESPN Anchor Stuart Scott passed away this morning after battling cancer. The trendsetter and inspirational man was 49 years old.

Scott was famous for many catch phrases which have become everyday verbiage in the world of sports talk. From BOO-YAH! to As Cool As The Other Side Of The Pillow, Scott's infectious style made him a fan favorite of many ESPN viewers.

Scott spent 22 years at ESPN, serving in many capacities, including head ESPN anchor, Monday Night Countdown host, covered the MLB playoffs, the Final Four, the NBA Finals, and wrote pieces of ESPN The Magazine, among other things.

Perhaps his greatest achievement was the inspirational speech (watch below) he gave at the ESPY awards last Summer. Stuart accepted the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance a few days before his 49th birthday. It was there when he opened up about his battle with cancer, inspiring millions.

Stuart leaves behind two daughters, Taelor, 19, and Sydni, 15.
