Eric Reid

The LSU Tigers will be losing two more members of their defense, after safety Eric Reid and cornerback Tharold Simon decided on Friday to pass up their remaining year of college eligibility and enter the 2013 NFL Draft.

On Thursday, linebacker Kevin Minter announced he was leaving LSU a season early, and putting his name in the draft.

Reid, who is 6-2, and 212 pounds, out of Dutchtown High School, is viewed as a possible first-round pick. The true junior was a consensus first-team All-American in 2012, finishing third on the team in tackles with 81.

Simon, the junior out of Eunice, is 6-3, and 193 pounds. He had a team-leading four interceptions in his first full season as a starter.

Defensive linemen Bennie Logan, Barkevious Mingo, and Sam Montgomery are also possibilities to leave early, but have yet to announce their respective decisions.

The deadline to declare for the 2013 NFL Draft is January 15.
