Raise your hand if you've heard this one before. "Eric Gordon will miss time due to swelling in his right knee." Okay. You can all put your hands down now.

The New Orleans Hornets released a statement today about their starting shooting guard, stating that Gordon's surgically repaired right knee experienced swelling late in the summer when he was participating in voluntary workouts with the team. As a result, Gordon will be limited throughout training camp.

"Its just been bothering me recently," said Gordon. "Its been fine throughout the whole summer, but started to bother me recently."

Is he worried?

"I'm not very concerned. It's just something that you hate to deal with at this point in time," explained Gordon. "At the same time, I'm looking forward to progressing during camp and being ready before the regular season."

Hornets GM Dell Demps released the following statement on the matter:

“The team is taking a cautious approach with Eric to give him the best chance to be ready for the season."

Deja vu? Let's hope not.
