The ninth ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team has been picked to repeat as Sun Belt Conference Champions in a poll of the league's coaches.

And, once again, South Alabama, preseason ranked #23, is expected to be the Cajuns' biggest threat.

The Cajuns received seven of the nine first place votes for a total of 79 points, while South Alabama received two first place votes and 74 points.

In addition, Ragin' Cajuns catcher Lexie Elkins is being picked to repeat as Player of the Year in the league, while pitcher Christina Hamilton is the preseason Pitcher of the Year after winning the award a year ago.  Elkins was named a third team All-American last season, while Hamilton was a second team pick.

The Cajuns had two other first team preseason selections as second baseman Holly Hayden and outfielder Shellie Landry were named at-large selections.
