Ragincajuns.com reports that eight members of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball teams were named to the All-Louisiana team, announced over the weekend.

UL junior pitcher Ashley Brignac was name Louisiana Pitcher of the Year

I have a vote for the All-Louisiana team, and I voted for everybody on the first-team, with the exception of Amber Thomas, of Louisiana College, at catcher.

Nothing against Thomas, who put up some nice statistics, but I thought Sarah Draheim was underated, all year. She hit a .296, drove in 52 runs, and was clutch, and consistent, all season.

No surprise with Christi Orgeron winning Hitter of the Year, or Ashley Brignac winning Pitcher of the Year. The only competition Orgeron had for that honor was from her won teammate, Gabrielle Bridges, and Brignac was the only 30-game winner in the state.
