Alabama Crimson Tide running back Derrick Henry took home top honors from Thursday night's Home Depot College Football Awards show, winning the Walter Camp Player of the Year, the Doak Walker Award, and the Maxwell Award.

The 6-foot-3, 242-pound Henry becomes the first player in Alabama history to be named the Walter Camp Player of the Year, which is voted upon by the 129 FBS coaches.

A junior from Yulee, Florida, Henry was next named the winner of the Doak Walker Award, given to "the nation's premier running back for his accomplishments on the field, achievement in the classroom and citizenship in the community."

Finally, Henry also was named winner of the Maxwell Award, given annually to the nation's most outstanding college football player.

A Heisman Trophy finalist, Henry has rushed for 1,986 yards and 23 touchdowns on 339 carries this season.
