The New Orleans Pelicans Center DeMarcus Cousins is the Western Conference Player of the Week for Week Two in the NBA.

Cousins absolutely dominated last week. Over the span of the last three games he's averaged 36.3 points, 16 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. The more important number with Boogie's production has been that the Pelicans are 2-1 over those three games and if Anthony Davis didn't get hurt against Portland they may have been 3-0.

This is the sixth time Cousins has received the Western Conference Player of the Week Award in his career but the first time he's won it as a Pelican.

Overall, DeMarcus is leading the team in points (32.3), rebounds (13.8), assists (5.7), and blocks (2.3). If both he and Anthony Davis can stay healthy this could be a very dangerous combination all season long.
