Viewers in the Lafayette Area will be able to watch the SEC Network this fall, thanks to an agreement announced between COX Communications and ESPN Media Networks.

The channel, which debuts August 14th, will be available to COX customers in both standard and high definition.  In Louisiana it will be available on the digital essential tier, which is $69.99 per month.  The station will also be available to subscribers on their computer, tablet, or mobile device.

The network will show a minimum of 45 football games, over 100 basketball games and 75 baseball games as part of the package.

Five Southeastern Conference schools have COX in their viewing area.  The network has also reached agreement with DiSH Network and AT&T's U-Verse.
