Coutts Honored by LSWA

Once again, Steven Coutts is a bright spot for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

Coutts, a sophomore from Brisbane, Australia had another stellar performance Saturday night against New Mexico State and was honored by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association as the state's special teams player of the week.

Coutts punted seven times for the Cajuns on Saturday for a 48.3 yard average.  And, once again, none of his punts were returned.

Coutts has not allowed a punt to be returned all season and Saturday he had one kick for a season long 64 yards.  He also had four punts downed inside the 20 yard line

Coutts has a net punting average of 43.5 yards on the season.
