According to the Boston Globe, the Boston Olympic Exploratory Committee has solicited a bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The group has already began its marketing campaign, establishing a website (www.boston-2024.org), facebook page, and twitter handle.

According to the report, the committee has been working on a bid for months, and had a positive meeting at a City Hall meeting on Monday.

Bringing the Summer Olympics back to the United States would establish a financial boom for the Country, and particularly the host cit.

If Boston wants to earn a bid, it'll most likely have to update its public transit system. The Boston Subway system has some cars that have operated for nearly four and a half decades.

According to the United States Olympic Committee, Olympic village generally houses 16,500 athletes. On average, about 15,000 media members from around the globe cover the Games, while anywhere between 40 to 50 thousand hotel rooms would need to be available for tourists and fans attending the Olympics.
