The honors continue to pour in for the seventh-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team.

This week, outfielder Christi Orgeron and pitcher Jordan Wallace were named the Sun Belt Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, by the league office on Monday.

This is the second time that the Cajuns captured both awards in the same week.

Orgeron and Wallace have now combined for seven SBC Player/Pitcher of the Week awards this season.

In the weekend series against the FAU Owls, Orgeron went 4-for-7 at the plate, with three home runs, six runs, and ten RBI's. One of Orgeron's homers was a grand slam, her sixth of the season, tying an NCAA record. The senior now has 18 homers on the year, and 66 in her career, tying her with former first baseman Gabriele Bridges for third all-time in school history. Orgeron leads the nation with 83 runs batted in.

Wallace recorded her 21st consecutive victory of the year in a 10-2 Saturday win over FAU, becoming the first freshman pitcher to begin her career 21-0, while allowing just one hit in her 15th complete game of the year. On Sunday, Wallace picked up the first save of her career, pitching two innings of scoreless relief in a 9-1 UL win.
