More than 25 years after shuffling to a win in Super Bowl XX, the 1985 Chicago Bears have been extended an invitation to the White House, CSN Chicago reports.

The NFL team that wins the Super Bowl is usually invited to the White House during the year of their victory. However, the Challenger exploded only two days after the Bears’ win.

Homeless Couple Heads To The Big Game

 

Ouida White and her boyfriend Aaron, who live in a homeless shelter in Green Bay, had no idea The Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau was running a contest in which the first person in Green Bay who approached their “mystery man” and asked him “Have you been to Dallas?” would get a free Super Bowl package.

But the pair caught on when folks started walking up to them and asking them this questions. On their fourth try, Ouida and Aaron found the mystery man, and the homeless couple became the big winners.
