Carencro Falls To West Monroe In 5A State Title Game, 20-13
The Carencro High Bears came up just a little bit short in their quest for a state championship, falling to the West Monroe Rebels, 20-13, in the Class 5A title game, on Saturday night.
Both teams end their respective seasons with identical 13-2 records.
We want to extend our congratulations to Carencro High head coach Brent Indest, his staff, his players, and all of the CHS student body and faculty on a great year.
In other championship game this weekend:
Neville defeated Edna Karr in the 4A title game, 27-6.
In the 3A state championship game, St. Charles squeaked by Amite, 9-8.
John Curtis won yet another state crown, defeating Winnfield, 33-3, in the 2A title game.
In the 1A championship game, Ouachita Christian defeated West St. John, 23-7.
