Cardinals Win World Series

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Texas Rangers 6-2 in Game 7 of the World Series Friday night in front of their home fans. The win capped off a magical, improbable, theatrical run by the Cardinals on the way to their 11th championship in franchise history.
David Freese had another key hit in Game 7, and was named World Series MVP. Chris Carpenter pitched 6 hard earned innings to win his second ring with the Cards.
