Following Thursday's practice, defensive coordinator Melvin Smith gave an update on his Ragin' Cajun defense and what he is hoping to see moving forward. With nearly two full weeks of fall camp under their belt, coach Smith likes what he has seen out of his crew but also knows there are plenty of things to clean up before the Cajuns host Boise State on September 3rd.

Heading into Saturday's scrimmage, coach Smith is keying in on a few specifics. With a majority of the defense installed, he and the rest of the staff are hoping to see consistency out of the veterans and cleaner play out of the new guys.

Louisiana is scheduled to scrimmage Saturday morning at 11 am at Cajun Field.
