The number one pick in the NFL draft is in the fold.

Auburn's Cam Newton agreed to a four year deal with the Carolina Panthers and the result of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement is evident in the signing.

Last year's #1 pick, Sam Bradford of the Rams, got a contract guaranteeing him 50 million dollars.

Newton didn't get half that.

Newton signs for four years, 22 million dollars.  The contract is fully guaranteed.
