Cajuns’ Volleyball Set for Sun Belt Tournament

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns volleyball team is seeded #7 in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and will face #2 seed Troy in their quarterfinal match.

The Cajuns (16-15) and Trojans (20-11) will meet for the second time this year on Thursday at noon.  The two teams met at Sartain Hall in Troy earlier this year with the Cajuns winning in four games.

Cajuns' coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot is only the second Cajuns' volleyball coach to lead the Cajuns to multiple Sun Belt Tournaments.  The Cajuns have not won a match in the tournament since 1991.

Host Western Kentucky is nationally ranked and a heavy favorite to win the tournament and the automatic NCAA berth.  The Cajuns and Lady Toppers cannot meet unless both reach the tournament finals.

Other quarterfinal matchups have #1 WKU against #8 FIU, #3 North Texas vs. #6 Middle Tennessee and #4 UALR vs. #5 Arkansas State.
