It's been a breakthrough season for Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns volleyball.

With their victory over UTA Sunday, Louisiana earned the #3 seed for the upcoming Sun Belt Championships, which begin Thursday in Jonesboro, AR.

The Cajuns will receive a first round bye and will meet the winner of the match between #6 UTA and #7 Appalachian State.  The Cajuns' game will begin at 5:00pm on Friday.  The winner of that match will face #2 Texas State Saturday, also at 5:00 pm.

The Cajuns (20-10, 13-3 Sun Belt) set a school best for best conference start and the most wins ever in conference play.  The #3 seed is the highest for any Cajuns' volleyball team and the 20-win season is only the second time since 1990 the Cajuns have reached that mark.

Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot also set the school record for career wins during the season.

The entire tournament can be viewed on ESPN3.
