The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are at home for the third straight weekend and are set to host the Jackson State Tigers in a non-conference series at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Here's hoping Mother Nature gets out of the way.

There's a strong chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the weekend and that could play havoc with the plans for the three game series.

As it stands, games are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 1pm.

The Cajuns are set to go with their regular rotation of Gunner Leger (3-2, 3.42 ERA) on Friday, Greg Milhorn (1-1, 4.62) on Saturday and Evan Guillory (3-0, 4.26) on Sunday.

The Cajuns (18-13) lead the all time series against the Tigers, 4-1, but fans will remember that loss.  It came in the first round of the NCAA Regional Tournament a year ago as the Tigers upset the Cajuns 1-0.  Louisiana came back through the loser's bracket to advance to the Super Regional.  Vincent Anthonia (1-2, 5.47) and Alexander Juday (4-3, 6.61, 1 save), who combined for the shutout, are both still with the Tigers.

Jackson State (21-11)  has not announced a rotation for the weekend.  The Tigers have won their last five games.  JSU is led offensively by Melvin Rodriguez (.410-2-39) and Lamar Briggs (.370-0-22).  Jackson State hits .315 as a team with a whopping 71 doubles on the season.

The Cajuns' Blake Trahan, named this week to the Golden Spikes Watch List, is one game shy of tying the consecutive game hit streak record.  Trahan (.380-1-16) has hit in 22 striaght games.

The games will be broadcast on 96.5 KPEL-FM.
