Cajuns Travel To Take On Blue Raiders

Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun baseball team is back back in action on Friday evening, when coach tony Robichaux’s squad travels to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, in the opening game of a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference series.
For Louisiana, it’s their first conference road series of the year.
The Cajuns are 17-3 overall, and 3-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Blue Raiders currently stand at 12-10 overall, and 0-3 in league play.
Offensively, Louisiana is currently second in the league is hitting, at a .315, with 18 home runs, while Middle Tennessee is hitting a .276 as a team, which ranks sixth, along with seven homers.
In the pitching department, the Cajuns currently rank third in the Sun Belt Conference, with a 3.52 team ERA, while the Blue Raiders rank sixth, with a 3.94 ERA.
Louisiana leads the all-time series, 34-27, and hold a 25-11 advantage in Sun Belt Conference regular season play, with Middle Tennessee holding a 10-2 edge in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
The Cajuns, who have won 10 of the 12 conference series’ between the two schools, are 27-21 against the Blue Raiders under the direction of Robichaux.
Game times for the three-game set are scheduled for 6 o’clock on Friday night, 4 pm on Saturday afternoon, and 1 o’clock for the series finale on Sunday.

SATURDAY—UL- So., RHP Austin Robichaux (3-0, 1.95 ERA) vs. MT- So., LHP Johnathan Frebis (2-2, 3.51 ERA).
SUNDAY—UL- Jr., LHP Cody Boutte (4-0, 4.55 ERA) vs. MT- Jr., LHP Zac Curtis (3-2, 5.92 ERA).
