The 14th ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team heads to Natchitoches tonight to take on the Demons of Northwestern State at 6:00 pm.

The game can be heard on ESPN1420 and espn1420.com beginning at 5:30 from Brown-Stroud Field.

Right hander Matt Plitt will get his first start of the season tonight for the Cajuns.  Plitt shut out the Demons 12-0 a season ago.

Freshman lefty Austin Tanner, who pitched one inning over the weekend, gets the start for Lane Burroughs' Demons.

This will be the home opener for Northwestern State.  The Demons dropped two out of three games at Jacksonville State last weekend.

Northwestern State is looking for significant imporovement in this, Burroughs' second season as head coach.  The former Mississippi State assistant took over last season and struggled to a 16-40 record, including a 5-22 mark in the Southland conference.

This will be the 127th meeting between the Cajuns and Demons.  Louisiana leads the all-time series 79-48 and has won the last three meetings between the two schools.
