In the battle of the ranked teams from the Sun Belt Conference, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns took the rubber game of their series with South Alabama, beating the Jaguars, 5-1 at Lamson Park.

The win puts the Cajuns at 30-7-1 on the season and 11-1 in league play.  South Alabama dropped its second consecutive series in Sun Belt play.  They are now 32-8, 9-4 in the SBC.

Hamilton (15-1) scattered seven hits for her second win against the Jaguars on the weekend.  She scattered seven hits, with the lone blemish coming on Alex Breeden's solo home run in the second inning.  She walked one and struck out two.

All-American Hannah Campbell (11-4) took the loss.

The Cajuns got all the runs Hamilton would need in the third inning as Holly Hayden drove in Louisiana's first run with a triple.  Lexie Elkins then followed with her 12th homer of the season to make the score 3-1.  The Cajuns would then add two insurance runs in the fourth to put the finishing touches on the win.

The Cajuns travel to Troy next weekend for a doubleheader on Friday and a single game on Saturday.
