Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team is back in action on Tuesday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad travels to Little Rock, Arkansas to take on the UALR Trojans in a Sun Belt Conference tilt.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, along with Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, beginning with the pregame show at 5 o'clock.

The game marks the Sun Belt Conference opener for both squads.

Louisiana, who is coming off of an 89-85 defeat to Northwestern St. back on December 20, is 6-5 on the young season, while UALR, who defeated Bradley, 64-54, back on December 22, is currently 5-5.

The Cajuns are outscoring by the opposition, 81.9/70.6, while out-shooting foes from the floor, 49.2%/40.4%, and holding down a 40.9/34.7 rebounding edge.

UL is paced by junior forward Shawn Long, who leads the team in both scoring and rebounding, at 14.8 ppg, and 8.6 rpg, respectively, and senior forward Brian Williams, who is averaging 12.5 points, to go along with 4.5 rebounds a contest.

The Trojans are being outscored by the opposition, 71.3/69.7, while also being outshot, and out-shooting foes from the field, 46.4%/41.5%, and outrebounded, 39.1/35.0.

UALR is paced by junior forward Roger Woods, who is averaging 13.1 points and 6.3 rebounds-per-game, along with junior forward James White, who is averaging 12.3 points, along with 7.3 rebounds a contest.

Louisiana leads all-time series, 23-17, with the two teams splitting the two meetings last year.
