The hottest team in the Sun Belt meets the other hottest team in the Sun Belt as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns travel to San Marcos to take on Texas State.  Gametime is scheduled for 4:30 pm at Strahan Coliseum.

Both teams come into the game on six game winning streaks.  Louisiana (1-3, 6-0 Sun Belt) is coming off a 77-65 win over UTA, a game that saw the Cajuns come back from a 14 point deficit.  Texas State (13-7, 6-1) defeated ULM 55-52 Thursday night in San Marcos.

The Cajuns hold a commanding 9-1 lead in the series.  Louisiana won both meetings last season, winning 79-73 in San Marcos before taking a 97-87 overtime win at the Cajundome.

Frank Bartley IV, who scored a season-high 26 points Thursday night, leads Louisiana with an average of 16.6 points per game.  JaKeenan Gant adds 15.2 ppg while senior forward Bryce Washington adds 10.4 points and a league-leading 10.8 rebounds per game after his 16 rebound performance on Thursday.

The Cajuns lead the Sun Belt in scoring, scoring margin, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, rebound margin, assist/turnover ratio and assists per game.

Texas State is led by sophomore Nijal Pearson at 14.2 ppg.  Pearson and Immanuel King are the team's leading rebounders.  Texas State leads the league in scoring defense.

All of the Cajuns' league games have been decided by double digits. Texas State has been just the opposite, with all seven of their games decided by single digits.  Texas State has won conference games by 5, 3, 1, 6, 2 and 3 points.

After Saturday's contest, the Cajuns return home for games next week against South Alabama and Troy.
