Cajuns Meet Panthers

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Saturday night, when coach Bob Marlin's squad travels to Miami, Florida to take on the FIU Panthers in a Sun Belt Conference affair.

Louisiana lost to FAU, 75-70, on Thursday evening, to fall to 6-10 overall, and 2-3 in Sun Belt Conference play, while FIU defeated Florida A&M, 88-72, on Wednesday, to move to 5-7 overall, and 1-3 in league play.

The Cajuns are led by freshman center Shawn Long, who is averaging 16.6 points, along with 9.7 rebounds-per-game, while the Panthers are paced by junior forward Malik Smith, who is averaging 15.2 points a contest.

Tip-off time is approximately 7 pm.
