Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team is back on the hardwood on Friday evening, taking on the North Texas Mean Green, in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Tournament, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Louisiana, who is the #8-seed, is currently 12-19 overall, and 8-12 in Sun Belt Conference play, while North Texas, the #9-seed, finished the regular season at 12-19 overall, and 7-13 in league play.

The Cajuns defeated the Mean Green twice this season, winning 80-76, back on December 1 in Denton, Texas, and 105-74, back on January January 31 at the Cajundome.

Louisiana is led by freshman center Shawn Long, who is averaging 15.8 points, along 10.3 rebounds-per-game, while North Texas is paced by sophomore guard Jordan Williams, who is averaging 14.0 points a contest.

Tip-off time is slated for 6:30 pm, with the winner advancing to take on top-seeded Middle Tennessee on Saturday at 6:30 pm.
