Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns basketball team faces it's toughest home test of the season tonight as the Cajuns (12-6,. 3-2 Sun Belt) take on Sun Belt leader Georgia State (12-6, 5-0).

Tipoff is scheduled for 7:15pm, or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game.

Both games can be heard on ESPN1420 and espn1420.com, with women's airtime at 4:45.  The men's game can also be heard on Hot 107.9 (KHXT) and on 1079ishot.com.

Georgia State has won nine in a row and are winning their conference games by an average of thirteen points per contest.  They are led by guards R. J. Hunter (19.1ppg) and Ryan Harrow (17.8).  Forward Manny Atkins (13.9) is the other double figure scorer for the Panthers.

This one could be a high scoring affair, with both teams averaging over 80 points per game.  Both teams have multiple players who are capable of hitting the three point shot.

This is a game where the Cajuns will need to take care of second chance opportunities.  And, they should have some chances.  The weakest part of the Georgia State team is their ability to rebound the basketball.  That means the Cajuns' work on the offensive boards is paramount.

It's also a good idea to keep Georgia State off the free throw line.  They are seventh in the latest NCAA statistics in free throw shooting (76.8%) and shoot an astounding 84.6% in conference games.

Georgia State is also averaging fewer than eight turnovers per game.  The Cajuns have to make sure their turnover number is small as well.

The Cajuns conclude their two game homestand Saturday afternoon at 3pm against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.
