Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns got a stellar performance from its bullpen Tuesday night and rode timely hitting to a 6-3 win over the Northwestern State Demons at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Trailing 2-0 in the first inning and with runners at second and third, Chase Traffica came in from the bullpen and got out of the jam and Blake Wascom and Caleb Kellogg shut out the Demons over the final four innings to get the win.

Louisiana got four hits from Greg Fontenot, including a two run double in the eighth that broke the game open. The Cajuns had ten hits, the sixth straight game with double figure hits.

Wascom (2-0) got the win for the Cajuns. Kellogg, a freshman from DeQuincy, notched his first collegiate save with two perfect innings.

The game was tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the fifth, but Lance Marvel's RBI groundout gave the Cajuns the lead for good.
