The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball schedule was released today and once again, the schedule will be a challenging one.

The Cajuns will visit defending national champion Florida for a three game series, head to Baylor for a midweek doubleheader and host Oregon as part of the Louisiana Classics Tournament.

The Cajuns will also host Texas Tech and Longwood in midweek games at Lamson Park and travel to Southern Mississippi for a weekend series.

The Cajuns will open on the road at the Sand Dollar Classic in Gulf Shores, AL, with Ball State, Southeast Missouri, Louisiana Tech and two Alabama schools, UAB and Samford.

The Cajuns will then host the 30th Louisina Classics with Campbell and Central Arkansas joining Oregon as the guests.  After hosting Texas Tech in a doubleheader, the Cajuns will then most Alcorn State and Rutgers in the Ragin' Cajun Invitational.  All of those games will be in February.

Once March comes, the Cajuns will be on the road.  A lot.

Only thirteen home games are scheduled after March 1, with twelve of them against Sun Belt opponents.  In the meantime, Louisiana will play 21 road games before heading to Mobile for the Sun Belt Tournament May 11-14, ironically, on the same weekend as the baseball team's trip to Mobile.

The Cajuns return eight of their top nine hitters from a season ago, when they advance to their fourth straight NCAA Super Regional.
