Fans of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team have been treated to a lot of scoring since Mike Lotief joined the Cajuns' program.

This year, they led the NCAA in two statistical categories.

Louisiana led all of college softball in home runs per game, blasting 108 in 55 games, an average of 1.98 per game.  It's the second straight year the Cajuns have led in that category.

Louisiana also led in slugging percentage for the second straight year  Their slugging percentage of .622 edged out Oregon (.618).  They were the only two teams to slug over .600 on the season.
