Louisiana Ragin' Cajun running back Elijah McGuire can add LSWA (Louisiana Sports Writer's Association) Offensive Player of the Week to his week of accolades.

McGuire, who was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week earlier today, rushed for 223 yards and 1 touchdown in the Cajuns 28-23 win over South Alabama Saturday at Cajun Field.

The senior from Houma is 212 all-purpose yards from moving into first place in school history in all-purpose yards. Former UL running back Tyrell Fenroy is the current record holder with 5,231.

McGuire and the Cajuns (2-1) hit the road this weekend for a Saturday contest in uptown New Orleans against the Tulane Green Wave (1-2). Kickoff is set for 7:00pm.
