One day after being dominated by Appalachian State's Taylor Thurber, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns came back with a vengeance Saturday.

The Cajuns unleashed nineteen hits, thirteen for extra bases and slugged six homers and punished the Mountaineers 20-6 at Beaver Field at Smith Stadium in Boone, NC.

Six different Cajuns belted home runs in the game, as Stefan Trosclair unloaded a three run blast and Kyle Clement  had a two run shot.  Tyler Girouard, Blake Trahan, Evan Powell and Greg Davis all has solo blasts.

Will Bacon (3-1) pitched three innings of relief, allowing just one run tp pick up the victory in relief of starter Evan Guillory.  Reagan Bazar pitched two scoreless innings with three strikeouts to close the game

The Cajuns got on the board in the first inning on a two out double by Girouard, but App State (14-34, 6-19 Sun Belt) came back on a single a double and a Cajuns' error to take the 2-1 lead.

Louisiana (30-16, 14-8) took the lead for good in the third on Clement's two run blast and Girouard's solo shot.  They added five more in the fourth on a solo homer by Powell, an RBI double by Trahan and Trosclair's three run blast to left to make the score 9-2.

App State got a run in the fourth on an RBI single by Brian Bauk and pulled within 9-6 on an RBI hits by Matt Brill and Bauk.

But the Cajuns put the game away in the sixth,scoring six runs all with two outs.  Doubles by Trosclair, Girouard, Dylan Butler and Nick Thurman highlighted the inning.  A two run double by Davis highlighted a three run seventh and solo blasts by Trahan and Davis closed out the scoring.

Starter Travis Holden (0-4) took the loss, allowing seven hits and nine earned runs over 3.1 innings

Girouard had four hits and tree RBI to lead the 19-hit attack ,while Trosclair, Trahan and Clement had three hits each.  Trosclair drove in four runs, while Davis had three on the day.

The Cajuns go for the series win tomorrow morning at 11am.
