Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Monday night, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad plays host the UNO Privateers in a non-conference match-up.

Tipoff time is set for  o’clock at the Cajundome, in what will be only the third home game of the season for the Cajuns.

Louisiana, who fell to the Pepperdine Waves, 79-59, in non-conference action on Friday night, is 3-5 on the young season, while UNO, fell to UMass, 103-95, last Wednesday, will enter the match-up with a record of 3-6.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 85.4/81.3, and outshooting them from the floor, 45.6%/45.4%, while also holding down a 42.3/35.9 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by senior forward Shawn Long, who is averaging 18.8 points, to go along with 12.3 rebounds-per-game, and junior guard Jay Wright, who is averaging 11.2 points and 2.9 rebounds a contest.

UNO is being outscore by the opposition, 74.6/72.1, as well as being outshot by opponents, 45%/41%, while holding down a slim 38.0/37.7 rebounding advantage.

The Privateers are paced by junior guard Christavious Gill, who is scoring 14.1 points, while pulling down 2.7 rebounds-per-game.

Tonight's game between marks 70th meeting between the two schools, with Louisiana lading the all-time series, 37-32  lead in the all-time series.
