Louisiana Ragin' Cajun pitcher Gunner Leger added another freshmen All-American honor to his resume today, being named to D1 Baseball's 2nd team.

Leger, who just finished his freshmen year, began the season as a midweek starter but quickly worked his way into the weekend rotation and eventually became the Cajuns’ Friday night starter.

The Lake Charles native finished the year 6-5, with a 2.99 ERA, striking out 87 batters in 114.1 innings of work.

For Leger, it's not the first All-American honor. He was named a Freshmen All-American by Louisville Slugger earlier this month.

LSU's Alex Lange was the only other player from the state to be recognized by D1 Baseball, making the freshmen All-American 1rst team.
