Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun football team returns to the gridiron on Thursday evening, when coach Mark Hudspeth’s squad travels to Mobile, Alabama to take on the South Alabama Jaguars in a Sun Belt Conference contest.

The match-up marks the second of a two-game road stretch for Louisiana, who will play two roads, and two homes games, the remainder of the regular season.

The Cajun Harley Davidson Tailgate begins at 4:30 pm on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, with the rest of the network, including Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, joining the broadcast in time for the Hampton Toyota Pregame Show, which will begin at 5:30 pm.

Kickoff time at Ladd-Peebles Stadium set for 6:30 pm.

Louisiana, winners of three of their last four, defeated Georgia St., 23-21, last Saturday, and is currently 4-4, overall, on the season, and 3-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Offensively, the Cajuns are averaging 29.3 points-per-game, along with 402.6 total yards, 210.6 rushing yards, and 192.0 passing yards, while allowing 30.5 points, 400.9 total yards, 175.4 rushing yards, and 225.5 passing yards.

Louisiana is led by junior running back Elijah McGuire, who has compiled 749 yards, along with 9 touchdowns, on 150 carries.

South Alabama, who defeated Idaho, 52-45, last Saturday, will head into the match-up at 4-4, overall, and 2-2 in league play.

Offensively, the Jaguars are averaging 26.8 points, along with 380.5 total yards, 159.5 rushing yards, and 221.0 passing yards a contest, while allowing 38.6 points, 411.1 total yards, 192.9 passing yards, and 218.2 rushing yards.

South Alabama is paced by senior quarterback Cody Clements, who has passed for 1,707 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Louisiana leads the all-time series, 2-1, including a 19-9 win over the Jaguars a year ago at Cajun Field.
