Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Monday evening, when coach Bob Marlin's squad travels to Coral Gables, Florida to take on the Miami Hurricanes in a non-conference match-up.

The game marks the first game of a two-game road trip for UL, who remain on the road on Wednesday evening, when they take on Alabama.

Louisiana, who defeated Louisiana College, 108-68, in their regular season opener on Friday night, is 1-0 on the young season, while Miami, who beat UT-Rio Grande Valley, 86-59, on Friday evening, will also enter the match-up at 1-0.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 108.0/68.0, and outshooting them from the floor, 59%/37%, while also holding down a 48.0/25.0 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by senior forward Devonta Walker, who scored 17 points, while pulling down 11 rebounds against Louisiana College, and senior guard Kasey Shepherd, who scored 16.

Miami, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, is outscoring the opposition, 86.0/59.0, and outshooting them, 42%/40%, while holding down a 45.0/34.0 rebound edge.

The Hurricanes are paced by senior guard Sheldan McClellan, who poured in 18 points against UT-Rio Grande Valley.

This is the second meeting between Miami and Louisiana. The first matchup was Dec. 20, 1999, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a game the Cajuns won, 66-60.
