The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns and Mississippi State have agreed to play a two game football series, with the first game in Starkville and the second at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

The first game, at Davis-Wade Stadium, will be played November 3, 2018, with the Cajuns' designated home game in New Orleans scheduled for August 31, 2019.

We are very excited in scheduling a two-game series against a member of the Southeastern Conference,"  Athletic Director Scott Farmer said. "To play another game in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, one of the great venues in sports and that has become a second home to us, will present our fans and alumni a great opportunity to enjoy an extended weekend in New Orleans while getting the college football season off to a great start."

Ragin' Cajuns coach Mark Hudspeth is no stranger to the Mississippi State program, having grown up in Louisville, MS, just outside of Starkville.  Hudspeth also served an an assistant to Dan Mullen from 2009-10 before being named head coach at Louisiana.
