Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team had their three-game win streak snapped on Saturday, after falling to the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, 65-53, in Sun Belt Conference action, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The first half was close throughout. with the Blue Raiders having the biggest lead of the half, seven points, and then went on to take a close 25-22 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Blue Raiders extended their lead to as many as ten points in the second half, with a 43-33 advantage at the 13:02 mark of the game, but the Cajuns were able to get within one, at 49-48, at the 6:04 mark.

Middle Tennessee then went on a 14-3 run, and held the Cajuns without a field goal over the next five minutes of play to solidify the 12-point victory.

Louisiana was able to out-rebound the Blue Raiders by a 40-34 count, but Middle Tennessee was able to out-shoot UL from the field, 37%-31%, and were also able to force 19 UL turnovers.

Raymond Cintron led the Blue Raiders in scoring, with 17 points, while Marcos Knight chipped in with  16.

In a losing cause for Louisiana, they were paced by the 17 points of Josh Brown, while Kadeem Coleby   added 10

The victory was the seventh straight for Middle Tennessee, who improved to 15-2 overall, and 4-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, while UL fell to 8-9 overall, and 2-1 in league play.
