Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Saturday, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad plays host to the ULM Warhawks in Sun Belt Conference action.

The game, which will mark the league opener at home for Louisiana, will be the back end of a women’s/men’s doubleheader, with the UL women facing ULM in the first game.

The women’s game is scheduled to tipoff at 5 o'clock, with the men getting underway at approximately 7:15 pm.

The men’s game will serve as the first game of a three-game homestand, who host Georgia Southern (Saturday, January 14) and Georgia St. (Monday, January 16).

The Cajuns, who defeated Little Rock, 69-52, last Monday, have won 11 of their last 13, and are 11-4, overall, and 1-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Louisiana is outscoring the opposition, 84.5/70.7, and outshooting them, 48%/45%, while also holding down a 39.9/32.0 rebound advantage.

The Cajuns are paced by junior guard Frank Bartley, who is averaging 15.9 points and 3.8 rebounds, and junior forward Bryce Washington, who is averaging 14.4 points, to go along with 11.7 rebounds.

ULM, who fell to Arkansas St. last Monday, 76-45, will enter the contest at 6-9, overall, and 0-2 in league play.

The Warhawks are being outscored by opponents, 70.1/69.4, while shooting the same percentage, 43%/43%, and holding down a 36.3/35.3 rebounding advantage.

ULM is led by sophomore forward Travis Munnings, who is averaging 13.3 points and 8.7 rebounds-per-game, and junior guard Sam McDaniel, who is at 12.9 and 7.1, respectively.
