Fresh off a road win, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are back in action tonight as they host Southern University at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field.  Game time is scheduled for 6 pm.

The pitching matchup is scheduled to be a rematch of the game played in Baton Rouge on April 8th, won by the Cajuns, 14-1.  Eric Carter (1-1, 3.65), who allowed just five hits and struck out eleven in seven innings of work, will get the start for Louisiana (24-15), while Southern (13-18) counters with lefty J'Markus George (1-4, 6.53).  George took the loss in the game in Baton Rouge, allowing five runs over five innings of work.

Blake Trahan, who had three hits last night against the Lions, leads the Cajuns with a .380 batting average.  Tyler Girouard (.338), Stefan Trosclair (.333), Kyle Clement (.314) and Nick Thurman (.304) are the other Cajuns over the .300 mark  Trosclair has homered eight times in his last 13 games, while Clement, who homered last night, has swatted three round trippers in his last nine games.

Southern is paced by D, J. Wallace with a .344 batting average.  Tyler Kirksey (.323) and Marcus Tomlin (.309)  join Wallace among regulars hitting .300 or better.  Jose de la Torre leads the Jaguars in RBI with 28.

Following tonight's game, the Cajuns will stay home for the weekend as they entertain UT Arlington in a three game series.  The Mavericks have already beaten Texas, TCU and Baylor this season, and dropped a close 4-2 decision to #2 Texas A&M last night.
