Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns baseball team will play its first home game since coach Tony Robichaux notched his 1,000th career win when they entertain Northwestern State tonight at 6pm at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

The Cajuns (6-5) are coming off a series win at #25 Alabama, which saw the Cajuns' skipper pick up his milestone win on Saturday and add one more win on Sunday.

Northwestern State (5-6 entering Tuesday's game with UL Monroe) is coming off a three game home sweep against Sacred Heart at Brown-Stroud Field.

Sophomore LHP Connor Toups (0-0) is making his first appearance of the season for the Cajuns.  Northwestern State has not named a starting pitcher for the game.

Louisiana is hitting .272 as a team, with catcher Nick Thurman (.433, .700 slugging) leading the club in hitting.  Blake Trahan and Greg Davis are both hitting .340.

Northwestern State is hitting .212 as a team with Chase Daughdrill the teams leading hitter at .310 with two of the three Demons' home runs on the season.

This is the first of a five game homestand for Louisiana.  The Cajuns open up defense of their Sun Belt Conference title this weekend against Troy.
