Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team is back in action on Wednesday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad plays host to the Milligan College Buffaloes in a non-conference tilt at the Cajundome.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 o’clock, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, along with Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, beginning with the pregame show at 6:30 pm.

The game is the third of a three-game home stand for the Cajuns, and their final home game before the start of conference play..

Louisiana, who is coming off of a 115-59 win over the Centenary Gents on Saturday afternoon, is 5-4 on the young season, while Milligan College, an NAIA school from the state of Tennessee, is 10-4 on the season, following a 71-61 loss to Bridgewater College last Saturday.

The Cajuns are outscoring by the opposition, 77.9/68.0, while out-shooting foes from the floor, 48.9%/39.2%, and holding down a 39.1/34.9 rebounding edge.

UL is paced by junior forward Shawn Long, who leads the team in both scoring and rebounding, at 14.6 ppg, and 7.7 rpg, respectively, and senior forward Brian Williams, who is averaging 12.4 points, to go along with 5.3 rebounds a contest.

The Buffaloes are outscoring the opposition, 77.1/66.4, and out-shooting foes from the field, 45.3%/39.7%, while holding down a 38.6/34.6

Milligan College is paced by senior guard forward Mickey Woods, who is averaging 16.6 points and 3.9 rebounds-per-game, along with senior center forward Morgan McLeod, who is averaging 10.4 points, along with 4.9 rebounds a contest.

Centenary leads all-time series, 21-19, but Louisiana has won three of the last four meetings, including a 103-69 triumph a season ago.
