The Ragin' Cajuns didn't climb any spots in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll this week, but they checked in at 22nd in the country again.

This is the best start in Sun Belt play (7-1) ever for the UL Basketball program, and Brodhead's crew is riding a four game win streak at home. Also of note, Arkansas State, the Cajuns' only loss in SBC play, check in at tenth in the Mid-Major Poll. If those two teams keep trending upward, their matchup on February 11th at the Cajundome could be a bit of a powderkeg.

So far this season, it's been smooth sailing for the Ragin' Cajuns. The next stretch will definitely be uphill without their top scorer.

Jaylyn Gordon's indefinite suspension from the team throws a serious hitch in the works. There are only 12 games left before the start of the Sun Belt Tournament, where the Cajuns hope to run the table. That leaves little time to make up for Gordon's shooting, driving, and overall offensive ability. Brodhead's head is squarely planted on his shoulders, but that's a tough task for any coach to figure out on the fly.

Luckily, the Cajuns will get to figure things out on their home court. Five of their next six games are at the Cajundome, and it all starts with Texas State on Thursday.
