The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns basketball team traveled to Clemson, South Carolina with a 7 game win streak in hand and they were hoping to make it 8 wins in a row against a tough opponent in the Clemson Tigers but they fell short as they lost 89-60.

The Cajuns had only one lead in the game and that was at the first media timeout of the 1st half when they lead 9-8 but it was all Tigers the rest of the way. The Cajuns struggled to get anything going the remainder of the first half as Clemson pulled away. The Cajuns had the Tigers' lead down to 12 but the Tigers hit a 3-pointer with 1 second left to give them a 15 point lead at the half.

The Cajuns kept battling to start the 2nd half and got the lead back down to 15 but the Tigers proved to be too much for the Cajuns as the Cajuns didn't have a field goal the last 7 minutes and 37 seconds of the game and the Tigers just kept scoring to give them a 29 point win.

Marcus Stroman and Frank Bartley both finished with double digits in scoring for the Cajuns with 16 and 14 respectively. The Cajuns couldn't get much help from other teammates as Cedric Russell had the next highest points with 8 and there were 4 players with 4 points and 2 players with 3 points. The highest rebounder for the Cajuns was Bartley with 6 and there were 3 players that had 3 a piece.

The Cajuns will take a break for the holidays and they will return to action against Little Rock in a double header with the game starting at 7 pm to start Sun Belt Conference play.
