Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns completed their suspended game from a week ago against Northwestern State Wednesday night, and built on their 3-0 lead en route to a 12-0 win over the Demons at Brown-Stroud Field in Natchitoches.

The game was suspended last Wednesday, with the Cajuns leading 3-0 and runners at first and second with no outs.  Blake Trahan sacrificed the runners to second and third, and Nick Thurman followed with a suicide squeeze bunt to run the score to 4-0.  Jace Conrad's RBI single brought another run home off starter Dillon Crane (0-1) and gave the Cajuns a 5 run lead.

The Cajuns (25-12) put the game away with seven runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by Tyler Girouard's second homer of the game. The Cajuns had six hits in the inning which was aided by two Demons errors.

Matt Plitt (2-0), who started the game last Wednesday, pitched three more shutout innings before giving way to relievers Nick Zaunbrecher, Ben Carter and Ben Frith.  The UL pitchers did not allow a hit in the innings played on Wednesday night.

Girouard led the way with three hits and four RBI.  Dex Kjerstad, Trahan and Seth Harrison all had two hits apiece.  Edwin Gomez led the Demons (11-27) with two hits.

The Cajuns host Florida Atlantic in a crucial three game Sun Belt series this weekend at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field.
