Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team fell for the first time at home on Saturday evening, dropping a 69-63 decision to the Cal-State Fullerton Titans, in the second day of play in the Beryl Shipley Classic, at the Cajundome.

Forward Scottie Farrington hit a jumper at the 9:07 mark of the second half, giving UL a 51-49 lead, but it would be the last one the Cajuns would have.

Cal-State Fullerton went on to outscore the Cajuns 20-12 the rest of the way, to take home the six-point win.

UL was able to out-shoot Cal-State Fullerton from the field, 47%-42%, but the Titans connected on eight three-pointers, compared to only one for the Cajuns.

Guard D.J. Seely and forward Orane Chin led the Titans in scoring, with 18 points each, while center Kadeem Coleby paced the Cajuns in a losing cause, with 14 points.

With the win, Cal-State Fullerton improves to 3-0 on the year, while the Cajuns dropped to 2-3.

UL will close out play in the tournament on Sunday afternoon, when they take on the Nicholls St. Colonels.

Tip-off time is scheduled for 3;35 pm.
