The New Year got off to a bad start for Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team as North Texas posted an 80-63 win on Saturday at the Super Pit in Denton, Texas.

The loss marks UL's third in-a-row as the Cajuns fall to 0-2 in the Sun Belt and 2-11 overall. North Texas remains atop the Sun Belt with a 2-0 mark in the league and 13-2 overall record.
