Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns started off the Lafayette Regional with a gritty 5-3 victory in front of the fans at M.L. Tigue Moore Field.

Steven Sensley started the scoring with a blast of a solo home run, Kennon Fontenot came through another homer and two RBI, and Joe Robbins drove in the fourth run and scored the fifth run in the eighth inning. Nick Lee started the game, then Eric Carter and Dylan Moore shut it down.

Moore broke his own career saves record by icing the game, and the Cajuns move on to avoid the loser's bracket of their own regional.

Stay tuned for Jay Walker's full game recap, which will be up on the website in no time.
